We’d found a good tip on a place to see mountain hares in the Peak District. It was a long shot but we had to chase it. We see european hares at home quite often but I’ve never seen their mountainous cousin before and, at this time of year, they would be in their fine, silvery, winter coats. It was too good to resist.
